Dusk Foundation is a Layer 1 blockchain built for finance that exists in the real world, not an idealized one. The project starts from a simple idea. Financial systems need privacy, but they also need rules, audits, and accountability. Dusk is designed so transactions can remain private by default while still being verifiable when it truly matters. The chain separates settlement from applications, which keeps ownership records stable and predictable while allowing developers to build using familiar smart contract tools. I’m drawn to this approach because it feels grounded. They’re not trying to avoid regulation or expose everyone. They’re building infrastructure for people, businesses, and institutions that want to use blockchain without fear of unnecessary transparency or legal uncertainty.
