If your account skyrockets from 100k U to 9 million in just a few days, can you control the greed to take profits in U? $Q
In 2024's market wave, I went all in on TRB with 100k USD. In just a few months, my account soared to over 3 million, and I was on cloud nine.
The first thing I did every morning was check my balance; I even had my Porsche color picked out.
Then
#TRB came the final crazy surge.
During those days around New Year's, the price shot up to 555 U, and my account suddenly hit 8 digits.
9 million was right in front of me.
But I didn't sell
#ARB Because I always felt it could go higher.
Then, in the blink of an eye, the market taught me a lesson.
#Saga A massive bearish candlestick came crashing down, profits wildly retraced, and my position spiraled out of control. In just a few days, most of what I had earned was taken back by the market.
That night, staring at the screen, I fully understood one thing:
Those who can buy are the apprentices; those who can sell are the masters.
Since then, I set three hard rules for myself
#ETH First: Take profits in stages.
When it hits your target, pull back your principal, then slowly lock in the profits. Leave the remaining position to the trend, instead of fantasizing about selling at the peak.
Second: Set stop-losses in advance.
In a real bull market, there won't be time for hesitation. Once the market goes out of control, execution is always more important than judgment.
Third: Never eat the last bite.
I don’t want the fish head, and I won’t fight for the tail; I only eat the plump, stable part in the middle.
Over the years, I've seen too many people.
They made dozens of times their investment, but because they couldn't let go, they ended up giving it all back to the market.
It’s not that they can’t make money; it’s that they can’t stop.
Now, my biggest goal in trading isn't to get rich quick.
It's to survive long-term.
Because only the money that’s in your pocket truly belongs to you.
The hardest part in crypto isn’t finding the right entry.
It’s staying clear-headed when everyone else is going wild.
If you've ever stumbled into the pit of 'earning but not holding,' you should understand this sentiment.
