Dear Binance users,
Binance has announced a significant regulatory development in Pakistan today, which is the result of strategic communications between Binance's senior leadership and Pakistani government officials. Led by Binance's Co-CEO Richard Teng, this ongoing dialogue with key policymakers highlights Binance's commitment to supporting the development of a regulated and secure digital assets ecosystem in the country.
Binance has obtained anti-money laundering (AML) registration under the PVARA framework, marking a significant step towards full licensing and local incorporation in Pakistan. This phased approach will enable Binance to offer AML-registered cross-border services while preparing for complete virtual asset service provider (VASP) licensing in accordance with Pakistan's regulatory roadmap.
Binance is committed to supporting digital economies in South Asia and looks forward to continuing its collaboration with regulators and stakeholders in the region to build a robust, transparent, and inclusive virtual asset ecosystem.
Please note that these changes relate to regulatory frameworks and are not intended to alter the way users interact with the platform. The day-to-day use of the platform by users will essentially remain the same.
