# $BTC Surviving is a prerequisite to talking about making money; if you can't survive, you're just someone else's transaction fee
$ETH In March, a friend who only had 800U left asked me how to turn things around. I gave him three pieces of advice, and after following them for 90 days, his account made 80,000U without a single liquidation. Today, I’ll share these three pieces of advice with you; how much you understand depends on yourself.
$BEAT One, divide the money into three parts, first learn to “cut fingers to survive”
800U split into three portions, not to be used interchangeably:
1. Short-term trading: 300U, at most two trades a day, finish and call it a day;
2. Trend trading: 300U, do not enter without clear signals, stay completely still if the weekly chart hasn’t turned upwards;
3. Emergency funds: 200U, specifically for dealing with spike risks; if liquidation occurs, immediately replenish on the same day to ensure you can stay in the game.
Don’t even think about using the entire account! The worst is “cutting fingers,” but losing your head is completely finished.
Two, only bite the juiciest part of the trend, and be like a turtle the rest of the time
In a volatile market, it’s a meat grinder; 9 out of 10 times it cuts retail investors. My signals are very simple:
1. If the daily moving averages are not in a bullish arrangement = stay totally out of the market;
2. Volume breakout above previous highs + daily close confirmation = first entry;
3. Once profits reach 30% of the principal, immediately withdraw half to secure profits, set a 10% trailing stop for the rest.
Remember, there’s always the next bus in the market, don’t rush to the door, just catch the ride.
Three, lock emotions in a cage and execute mechanically
Before entering, write down your “life and death statement”:
- Stop loss at 3%, automatically cut when it hits, no hesitation;
- Profit at 10%, immediately raise the stop loss to breakeven, the rest of the profits are market gifts;
- Shut down the computer at 23:00 every day, no matter how tempting the candlestick is, don’t stare; if you can’t sleep, uninstall the app.
The more mechanical and boring, the longer you can survive in the crypto space.
Survive, and then you can talk about making money; if you can’t survive, you’re just someone else's transaction fee.
