BEAM was officially introduced following a token transition from $MC to $BEAM on October 26. Presently, the circulating supply stands at 41,626,195,398. This number is subject to increase, either through the release of vested tokens or as additional $MC tokens are converted to $BEAM. Conversely, the circulating supply is reduced through strategic buybacks and token burns, a process tied to the profits generated by the DAO.

Who Are the Founders of BEAM ($BEAM)?

BEAM is the brainchild of the Merit Circle DAO. Established in the early months of 2021, this decentralized autonomous organization aims to transform the gaming sector. Holders of the $BEAM token are granted the privilege of participating in the governance of the DAO.

The Merit Circle DAO operates with a distributed workforce - some are formally contracted by the DAO, while others offer their skills voluntarily. The stakeholder profile within this ecosystem is quite varied, encompassing individuals and entities ranging from gamers, token holders, and investment funds to corporations and fellow DAOs.
