Michael Saylor confirmed two important things in this interview:
• Whenever $MSTR is sold, the company buys Bitcoin almost at the same time. People on CT commenting every week on Saylor’s average entry price are basically looking at only one side of the trade.
• Same thing with STRC: whenever they raise capital, they convert it into BTC almost immediately. Their goal is not to sit on USD or try to time the market, because that would introduce unnecessary uncertainty.
So all the theories claiming Saylor only buys on weekends seem completely off. I honestly don’t understand why CT automatically assumes every weekend scam pump is caused by Saylor buying.
He also mentioned that, from his perspective, their purchases don’t create a clearly visible short-term impact on$BTC price, even when they are buying up to $200M per hour. Obviously, by definition, the impact can’t literally be zero, but I also think CT tends to overestimate the direct importance of Strategy’s purchases.
Most of the time, when Bitcoin pumps hard, it’s not necessarily because Strategy is actively buying in the market.
