A Letter to Newcomers without Mentors
Contract: A Thought of Heaven, A Thought of Earth🐟
I have seen too many people rush in with a thousand U, fantasizing about having four more zeros behind their accounts before dawn, only to blow up their accounts every few days, with their principal wiped out and their faith shattered.
Years ago, I had only 8000U in my account. The first time I opened 100× leverage, half of it evaporated in 15 minutes. That day, I stared at a screen full of red, my palms sweating, but suddenly understood one thing:
Blowing up is never an accident; it is a welcome letter to newcomers written in high leverage.
Leverage is not yield × multiplier, but risk × index; frequent trading makes fees like a dull knife cutting flesh; after losing 90%, you need to multiply by 9 to return to the starting point—not to break even, but to build a rocket.
If you want to survive, first give up the 'Gambling Thrill'. What truly made my account curve start moving upwards was a 'Survival System' built with real money.
Take an example—BOLL Indicator.
Most people have only heard of 'Open and Close', but few have broken it down into three steps:
1. Close = Volatility Compression, the market is gathering strength;
2. Midline Slope = Balance of Long and Short, whoever tilts first, follow them;
3. Open + Volume = Energy Release, that is the place where I want to plant my flag.
In October last year, the SOL daily line closed 7 times, with the midline slightly tilting upwards. I built my position near the lower line, with stop loss set at the low point before closing, and as a result, it surged to the upper line, achieving 30 times in a single month. It’s not that I’m a genius, but the system turned chaos into probability.
However sharp the system is, it cannot save a restless hand. I set three iron rules for myself and stuck them on the edge of my screen:
1. Single loss ≤ 2% of total capital;
2. Open position ≤ 2 times a day;
3. Move stop loss up after floating profit of 50%, prioritize capital preservation.
It may seem conservative, but in fact, it is writing 'survive' into the code. The market will not reward those who are recklessly intoxicated; it will only reward those who last long.
Contracts are indeed the fastest track for ordinary people to overtake in a curve, but please remember:
Making decisions based on feelings is handing the steering wheel over to emotions;
Using a system for trading is taking fate into your own hands.
The abyss has always been there, and I only light one lamp—whether to come ashore with me is your choice.
