🚨 The Strait of Hormuz is NOT closed! Don't be swept away by the wave of misinformation.

🛑 Despite the rumors and alarming headlines, there has been no official closure of the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian parliament may adopt a resolution, but it is merely a statement of intent. For such a decision to become reality, it must be reviewed by the Supreme National Security Council and then validated by the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. A slow, complex process... and far from guaranteed.

📉 Closing the strait would have major repercussions — not only for the United States but especially for Asian countries. In 2024, 84% of the crude oil and condensates passing through are destined for Asia, particularly China, India, Japan, and South Korea, which make up 69% of this flow.

🇺🇸 And the United States? Their exposure remains modest: only 7% of their crude oil imports pass through this strait, accounting for about 2% of their total oil consumption.

A far more significant impact for Asia than for America.
