When the “giant” speaks, who loses money?
Lately, I've seen big names like CZ, Elon... every time they “shill” a coin, the price skyrockets. But in reality, that may not reflect the true value of the coin – it's just a crowd effect.
So what next? A whole bunch of people fomo in, and as you know, in this market, money doesn't just appear — it only moves from one person's pocket to another's. And often, it flows into the sharks' pockets.
We inadvertently become puppets led by the media and those “accidental but intentional” tweets. The more news there is, the clearer the trap — it’s just whether you recognize it or not.
For example, recently, after CZ's post, a shark shorted $ASTER after CZ's post and made 11 million dollars – that was from the fomo buy orders following that post.
Of course, it cannot be denied that coins being shilled often do increase in price. But the question is: can you consistently make money? Or do you just “eat” a few small coins, only to lose thousands of dollars afterwards?
This is just my personal opinion – I am not rich, I do not advise investing, and I have not succeeded yet. But at least, I choose to stay alert.
