Polygon is considering changing the token code from POL back to MATIC

Polygon CEO Sandeep stated that the community continues to provide feedback that $MATIC is more recognizable than $POL,

The question is whether exchanges should be asked to change the token code?

Sandeep expressed a personal preference to keep POL, but community feedback accounts for less than 5% of the total user base, requiring broader input

However, the project team also stated that they cannot guarantee that major centralized exchanges will agree to change the token code.

To this day, I still tend to call this project MATIC more than POL.
