Venezuela’s real estate market is increasingly using Bitcoin $BTC and $USDT for buying and selling property. According to the Caracas Chamber of Real Estate, crypto payments are now common, especially in wealthy areas like Chacao, Baruta, El Hatillo, and Las Mercedes.
Property deals—from apartments to office buildings—are often paid through crypto exchanges for quick transactions, and many buyers are overseas investors using installment plans.
Although Venezuela introduced a Crypto Assets Law in 2020, regulations are still incomplete, lacking clear legal guidelines. This lack of regulation may also allow some property transactions to avoid taxes.
