Matter Labs announced today officially:
- Development on zkSync Lite has stopped since March 2023
- Operations and withdrawals for Ethereum L1 will remain open throughout 2026
- All assets are 100% safe, but it is recommended to transfer them to zkSync Era now
- No impact on the $ZK token or the main Era network
The reason?
zkSync Lite has accomplished its historic mission as the first ZK Rollup in the world, and now all focus is on Era + the new generation of ZK Chains.
