I have seen too many newcomers in the crypto space holding tens of thousands as principal, staring at the charts every day, fantasizing about making a hundred times overnight, only to be liquidated in both directions within six months.
In fact, what beginners should do is to calm down and first roll out the first 1 million —
I started from 50,000 back then, riding on two trends, and achieved this goal in 14 months.
This is not just motivational talk; it's a concrete survival rule.
In March 2025, ETH broke through the 3,000 mark from 2,502 USD, the weekly line stabilized above the EMA52 moving average, and the OBV energy wave synchronized to a new high; this is a high-certainty opportunity.
At that time, I heavily invested, gradually increasing my position with floating profits. When it rose to 4,200 USD, my initial 50,000 turned directly into 280,000.
There are three iron rules for rolling positions, and none can be missing.
The first is to wait for signals; don't get impulsive.
In the crypto space, there are truly only 3-5 trend opportunities a year. For example, after Bitcoin dropped below 126,000 USD in October 2025 and the OBV showed a bottom divergence in November,
that was the bottom-buying signal. Usually, just maintaining a small position will keep you in touch with the market.
The second is to follow the big trend.
In November of this year, ETF funds had a net outflow of 3.7 billion USD, and Bitcoin dropped to the 80,000 range; at this point, counter-trend buying is just asking for trouble.
Only when the weekly trading volume continues to increase, and the financing rate stabilizes in the 8%-12% range, is it suitable to exert force in rolling positions.
The third is to be ruthless in execution.
Each time I break through, I enter at market price instantly, setting my stop loss at 2% below the previous breakout low, for example, if it breaks through 30,000, I set my stop loss at 29,400.
Once the market stabilizes, I use floating profits to add positions, and I absolutely do not manually take profits to interrupt gains.
When your principal reaches 1 million, you will find that the game is completely different.
Based on the current Bitcoin price of 87,000 USD, a 20% increase in spot would yield 174,000 in profits, and there is no need to rely on 10x leverage to gamble.
The core of turning around in the crypto space is never about predicting volatility, but about having capital and daring to go all in when opportunities arise.
I only wish to share this logic with those who are willing to calm down, as surviving is the key to waiting for big market movements.
