$ETH BlackRock Files For iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF
Asset management giant BlackRock has officially filed a prospectus (Form S1) with the SEC for the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF.
๐ธ This marks BlackRock 4th crypto ETF product following Spot BTC, Spot ETH, and a yield bearing BTC fund. Unlike the previously approved Spot ETH ETFs which were stripped of staking rewards, this new fund proposes a Staking mechanism. This means BlackRock intends to use the fund ETH to secure the network and earn rewards (3 to 4% APY), distributing this yield to investors.
๐ธ Holding ETH without Staking is like holding cash under a mattress instead of a savings account. This fund unlocks Ethereum Native Yield for institutional investors.
๐ธ If approved, Ethereum effectively becomes a Tech Bond in the eyes offering both capital appreciation and regular dividends. This is a massive catalyst for ETH price.
Do you think the SEC will greenlight the Staking ETF, paving the way for the era of mainstream ETH Yield?
