$BTC England will charge R$ 7.07 more from customers to invest in nuclear energy amid pressure for electricity. The construction of the gigantic Sizewell C nuclear power plant on the east coast of England has finally begun. However, to finance the project, the English government must increase the electricity bill by one pound (£ 1.00) per month, about R$ 7.07. In general terms, the project has an expected budget of £38 billion (about US$ 51 billion) and will be partially financed through a model that passes costs onto consumers even before the plant is operational.
According to Julia Pyke, co-managing director of Sizewell, this measure is an essential part of the financing model aimed at attracting the private capital necessary for a project of such scale and risk.

The taxpayer's pocket in the nuclear plan.
The British government will be the largest shareholder of the plant, with a 44.9% stake, and advocates for Sizewell C as a fundamental pillar for energy security and the goal of eliminating the use of natural gas.
The plant will have two reactors and is expected to provide electricity to about six million homes by 2040, ensuring the so-called "base load" — that is, the stable energy source that does not depend on wind or sun.#BinanceBlockchainWeek $ETH
