🇬🇧The French banking giant is entering crypto
French group BPCE — the country’s second-largest bank with AUM of around €1.3 trillion 💸 — is rolling out trading for BTC, ETH, SOL and USDC directly inside its banking apps 🍏
At the first stage, the service will be enabled for 2 million clients of Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne
In 2026, access will be expanded to the entire BPCE network — that’s around 12 million users 🌎
The crypto account is fully integrated into the app:
• trading fee — 1.5% 💵
• account maintenance — €2.99 per month 🧾
• no need for external exchanges anymore 🔄
This makes BPCE one of the first major banking groups in Europe to add crypto to its core product offering 🏦
It ramps up competition with fintechs and brings us closer to the moment when working with crypto becomes just another standard banking feature, like a transfer or card payment 🧾
