This is a general announcement. Products and services referred to here may not be available in your region.

Fellow Binancians,

As part of our continuous efforts to improve the Spot API, we will carry out a FIX TLS connectivity update on 2026-06-08 03:00 (UTC), with an expected duration of approximately one hour.

Action Required:

  • During the update window, existing FIX connections may drop intermittently. To ensure successful reconnections and new connections following the update, please complete the following before our update:

    • Check that your client sends SNI (Server Name Indication) during the TLS handshake; and

    • Validate the certificate against the requested hostname.

  • Clients without SNI may receive an error message during handshake related to incorrect certificate during or after the update window, leading to TLS handshake or hostname verification failures. This can occur with some Node.js clients if SNI is not explicitly configured.

  • Please check this FIX API documentation for more context on SNI.

For more details, please refer to the Binance API Changelog.
