According to Foresight News, Jon Ma, co-founder of blockchain data provider Artemis, has stated that Solana is expected to become the most widely used blockchain by 2025. Solana currently leads with 98 million monthly active users, which is approximately five times that of Base. It also tops the charts with 34 billion transactions, surpassing BNB by 18 times. Additionally, Solana's transaction volume stands at $1.6 trillion, 1.7 times that of Ethereum, and its application fees amount to $5 billion, double those of Ethereum. Solana's revenue reaches $1.5 billion, 2.4 times that of TRX.
Despite Solana's impressive usage metrics, Ethereum continues to dominate in several areas, including total transfer volume, where Solana ranks third, total value locked (TVL), where Solana is second, developer activity, where Solana is second, and stablecoin supply, where Solana is third. However, in terms of pure usage, Solana is indeed on track to become the most widely used blockchain by 2025.
