$ROBO #ROBO @Fabric Foundation
The native cryptocurrency of the ecosystem is ROBO. It is currently an ERC-20 token running on Base (Ethereum’s Layer 2), though the project plans to migrate to its own Layer 1 blockchain later in 2026.
Utility: Used to pay for network fees, identity verification, and machine-to-machine (M2M) payments.
Work Bonds: Robot operators must stake ROBO as a "security deposit" to register their hardware. This ensures they remain honest; if they commit fraud or fail a task, their stake is "slashed" (burned).
Staking (Proof of Robotic Work): Unlike typical passive staking, ROBO rewards are earned by machines performing actual tasks or by token holders delegating their tokens to high-performing robot operators. The Fabric Foundation is a non-profit organization that manages the Fabric Protocol, a decentralized infrastructure designed to power the "Robot Economy." It aims to provide autonomous machines (robots, drones, and AI agents) with the digital identity and financial tools they need to operate independently in the real world.
