How to read "Order Books" (Buy/Sell walls)
Ever felt like the market moves right after you buy or sell? It’s not magic, it’s often because you missed seeing the "behind-the-scenes" intentions of big players.
Imagine you're at a super busy online auction, not just seeing the last winning bid, but every single bid and offer currently on the table.
That’s your crypto order book! It’s this incredible real-time list of all the 'buy' orders (the bids, or the 'buy wall') and 'sell' orders (the asks, or the 'sell wall') waiting to be filled for a specific coin.
But, when we only check the chart, we miss what everyone wants to do right now, which can feel super confusing.
Therefore, when you peek at the order book, those big clusters of buy orders (a "buy wall") show where lots of people want to purchase a coin, potentially creating strong support.
Conversely, massive sell orders (a "sell wall") just above the price signal where many want to unload their coins, acting like a price ceiling.
Knowing this lets you spot potential immediate support or resistance levels before they hit, making you feel so much more in tune with the market’s heartbeat! 💡
