None of this guarantees perfect behavior. Robots still misread environments, and modules still carry assumptions that may not hold everywhere. But the structure makes those assumptions easier to see.

Over time, that visibility might change who feels comfortable building autonomous systems. A small logistics startup could design a warehouse robot tailored to its layout. A research lab could prototype new navigation strategies without rewriting every layer underneath.

Progress in robotics often looks dramatic from the outside. In practice it usually grows through quiet changes in infrastructure. Modular systems do not remove complexity, but they rearrange it into parts that people can inspect, test, and slowly improve.
