Testifying before the Senate Banking Committee, Warsh said Donald Trump never pressured him to cut rates and that he would not discuss rate views with the president. He also noted digital assets are already part of the financial system.
During the session, Bitcoin fell to around $75,500 from near $77,000 earlier, while the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 each declined about 0.5%. Shares of Coinbase also dropped roughly 5%.
