@Dusk $DUSK Citadel is a self-sovereign identity (SSI) framework developed natively on Dusk Network, aimed at addressing a major issue in digital identity: traceability. The majority of SSI solutions keep user permissions as public NFTs. Despite zero-knowledge proofs, those NFTs stay visible and associated with accounts, enabling behavior monitoring. Citadel unveils an NFT model that ensures privacy by keeping identity rights securely stored on Dusk. Users can demonstrate possession of licenses or access rights through zero-knowledge proofs without disclosing identity, metadata, or usage records. Powered by Dusk's inherent ZK Layer-1 architecture, Citadel fosters privacy by design while still aligning with regulated settings. This research-supported method demonstrates how blockchain identity can simultaneously be private, compliant, and decentralized.
