Il regolatore degli asset digitali di Dubai ha avvertito che lo scambio di criptovalute, KuCoin, sta operando nell'emirato senza la licenza richiesta e deve smettere di offrire servizi agli utenti locali. L'Autorità di Regolamentazione degli Asset Virtuali (VARA) di Dubai ha dichiarato che KuCoin non detiene l'autorizzazione per fornire servizi di asset virtuali a Dubai o da Dubai, il che significa che qualsiasi attività correlata violerebbe le normative crittografiche dell'emirato. In una dichiarazione, il regolatore ha detto che lo scambio deve “cessare e desistere da tutte le attività di asset virtuali non autorizzate” collegate al mercato di Dubai.

Dubai’s digital assets regulator has warned that cryptocurrency exchange, KuCoin, is operating in the emirate without the required license and must stop offering services to local users.
The Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) of Dubai said KuCoin does not hold authorization to provide virtual asset services in or from Dubai, meaning any related activities would breach the emirate’s crypto regulations.
In a statement, the regulator said the exchange must “cease and desist all unlicensed virtual asset activities” connected to the Dubai market.
VARA also warned that any promotion, advertising, or solicitation related to KuCoin has not been approved, meaning the platform cannot market or offer crypto products or services to Dubai residents.

The regulator identified several companies linked to the exchange including Phoenixfin Pte Ltd, MEK Global Limited, Peken Global Limited, and KuCoin Exchange EU GmbH which it said may have been targeting Dubai users without proper authorization.
VARA urged investors and consumers in the emirate to avoid interacting with the platform and to verify that crypto service providers are properly licensed before using them.
The warning comes amid broader regulatory scrutiny of the exchange. Just weeks earlier, Austria’s financial regulator halted KuCoin’s European arm from onboarding new clients over compliance concerns related to anti-money-laundering controls and staffing.
Dubai introduced its dedicated crypto regulatory framework in 2022, requiring all virtual asset service providers to obtain approval from VARA before offering services or targeting users in the emirate.
