Been watching $NIGHT since the Binance spot listing, and not gonna lie, this one kept pulling me back to the chart. Binance listed NIGHT on March 11, 2026 at 15:30 UTC, with 16,607,399,401 NIGHT already circulating out of a fixed 24,000,000,000 supply, so the market didn’t get a tiny float or a slow drip at launch.

At the time I’m writing this, the price sits around $0.0474 with that same ~16.61 billion circulating supply—which is exactly why this token trades differently from the usual fresh-listing hype cycle.

What I noticed first wasn’t just price. Midnight’s official token page makes it clear that NIGHT is the public governance token, while holding it generates DUST, a shielded and non-transferable resource used for transaction fees and smart contract execution.

That split matters. Most traders see “privacy chain” and instantly think old-school privacy coin, but Midnight is pitching programmable privacy with a public asset layer and a separate resource layer instead. No KYC here. Just a different design, which is wild.

Then I looked at distribution—worth noting. Midnight says more than 3.5 billion $NIGHT were claimed in Phase 1 of the Glacier Drop by 170,000+ eligible wallet addresses, and the broader Glacier Drop metrics started from 4.55 billion NIGHT with eligibility across ADA BTC ETH SOL XRP BNB AVAX and BAT holders. On top of that, Binance’s HODLer Airdrops allocation was 240,000,000 NIGHT (1% of max supply), with another 240,000,000 NIGHT reserved for future marketing campaigns. Big community spread. Big exchange visibility. That combo usually gets my attention.

My read on this is pretty simple: the idea is interesting, but the unlock structure means you can’t ignore supply. Midnight’s official token page confirms distributed NIGHT is subject to a 450-day thawing period with equal quarterly installments, so even if the narrative gets stronger, the market still has to absorb ongoing unlock flow over time.

I think that’s the real tension in the chart right now. Strong concept, real attention, but not a clean air pocket to the upside.

Personally, I’m not blindly bullish here. I’m in the “watching closely” camp because the token actually has a distinct utility story, and that matters more to me than recycled launch-week hype.

If MidnightProtocol can turn the NIGHT-to-DUST model into actual user activity, sentiment could improve fast; if not, traders may keep treating it like a short-term listing trade with overhang in the background. That’s where I’m at today.
