The main reason is supply and market cap.
SHIB has roughly 589 trillion circulating tokens. If 1 SHIB reached $1, the total value of SHIB would become around $589 trillion. That is far larger than the entire crypto market and even bigger than the economy of many countries combined.
Most 2026 forecasts place SHIB far below $1, generally in fractions of a cent rather than one full dollar.
That does not mean SHIB cannot rise. Meme coins can move strongly during bull markets due to hype, community support, burns, and ecosystem growth. But $1 in 2026 requires an enormous jump and massive supply reduction, which currently looks unrealistic.
A more realistic discussion is often about levels like:
• $0.0001
• $0.001
• Long term ecosystem growth and token burns.
