U.S. President Donald Trump said that Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, and some other countries asked the U.S. to wait a few more days before attacking Iran because they think a deal between the U.S. and Iran could happen soon.
According to Odaily, Trump said at a White House event that the U.S. was ready to carry out a very big attack on Iran on the 19th. But he decided to delay it for two or three days. He said he hopes the delay could become permanent, but it might only be temporary.
Trump also said that talks with Iran are still happening and there have been some positive signs. He added that Gulf countries are trying to help both sides reach an agreement. Trump said this situation feels a little different from past times when the U.S. also thought a deal with Iran was close.
