I want to share a critical security warning with the community based on a real situation that happened to me just now.
I received a very convincing email claiming to be from Blockchain.com. The email stated that there was a login attempt from the "Russian Federation" 🇷🇺 and asked me to click a button to "Authorize" or "Deny" the request.
At first glance, it looked legitimate. However, my technical background saved me. Here are the Red Flags I noticed:
1️⃣ The "Authorization" Trap: Real security systems block suspicious logins automatically. They never ask you to click a link to "cancel" a hack.
2️⃣ The Goal: If I had clicked the link, it would have redirected me to a fake page asking for my 12-word Recovery Phrase.
3️⃣ Fear Tactics: The email used urgent language about "moving funds" to make me panic.
🛡️ How to Stay Safe:
NEVER click links in security emails. Always open the official app or website directly.
NEVER share your Seed Phrase (12 words) with anyone or any website, no matter how "official" it looks.
Always enable 2FA (Google Authenticator).
