Key Utility of the DUSK Token
The token is the lifeblood of the network, serving four primary roles:
Staking & Security: Used by nodes to participate in the "Segregated Byzantine Agreement" (SBA) consensus. Stakers earn rewards (roughly 12% APY) for securing the network.
Gas Fees: All transaction fees, smart contract deployments, and asset issuances are paid in DUSK.
Privacy & Compliance: Powers the "Confidential Security Contract" (XSC) standard, which allows for private transactions that are still auditable by regulators (meeting MiCA standards).
Governance: Holders can influence protocol upgrades and network parameters.
