Built on Sui, Walrus aims to store big “blobs” like videos, NFTs, websites, and AI datasets across a decentralized network using two-dimensional erasure coding, so files can be rebuilt even when a large share of nodes drop off. WAL powers storage payments, staking, and governance, rewarding uptime and penalizing persistent failures. I’m watching adoption, stored data growth, node count, and pricing stability.
