I’m looking at ALICE right now sitting around $0.147, up more than 40% in 24 hours, and this is not a normal grind-up move.
This is expansion.
On the 4H chart, I’m seeing:
A strong vertical breakout candle
Massive volume spike (way above previous days)
Clean break of short-term resistance
Fast continuation without proper pullback
That tells me this wasn’t random retail buying.
Why I Think It’s Pumping
When I see a move like this, I usually break it down into three possible drivers:
1️⃣ Short Squeeze
ALICE was weak for months. A lot of traders were likely short or underestimating it.
Once price broke resistance, shorts got trapped.
Liquidations forced buybacks.
That fuels vertical candles like this.
2️⃣ Volume Expansion
The volume spike is not small. That means real money stepped in.
Breakout traders, bots, and momentum traders all pile in at the same time.
That creates acceleration.
3️⃣ Liquidity Effect
ALICE is not BTC-level liquidity.
So when aggressive buyers hit the book, price moves fast.
In smaller caps, 30–40% moves are easier than people think.
Now The Important Question: When Will It Retrace?
I don’t predict tops blindly. I look for signs.
Here’s what I’m personally watching:
🔎 Funding Rate (if in futures)
If funding turns extremely positive, that tells me longs are overcrowded.
Crowded longs = higher chance of pullback.
🔎 Volume Shift
If I see decreasing volume while price pushes higher, that’s exhaustion.
Momentum without volume dies quickly.
🔎 Structure
Right now this move is vertical. Vertical moves don’t sustain forever.
I’m expecting one of two scenarios:
Scenario A: Healthy Pullback
Price pulls back 20–30%
Holds above breakout zone
Forms higher low
Continues trend
This is bullish continuation.
Scenario B: Blow-Off Top
One more spike
Sudden sharp dump
Fast 25–35% retracement
That’s squeeze exhaustion.
My Honest View
After a 40% daily move, I’m not chasing.
Risk-reward is not attractive up here.
If I’m not already in, I’d rather wait for:
Pullback to previous breakout zone
Consolidation for a few candles
Volume cooling off
Late entries at vertical highs usually end badly.
Bigger Picture
Big green candles create excitement.
But what I’ve learned over time is this:
The move that looks “strongest” is often the one closest to cooling down.
Momentum is powerful.
But gravity always exists in crypto.
Right now ALICE is strong.
But I’m watching for structure, not emotion.
Because in futures especially, the same speed that pumps 40% can retrace 30% just as fast.
