Here’s how activation works inside TronLink, explained clearly
👉 First, what does “activation” mean?
Before a GasFree wallet can send assets out, it must be activated. There is no separate button to press. Activation happens automatically during your first permit transfer. The first transaction triggers it.

Launch the app and tap “Use GasFree Wallet.”
If you have already created one, simply switch into it.
→ Your GasFree wallet is linked to your main wallet.
→ It uses the same private key.
→ You remain in full custody.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 2️⃣: 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝘀𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁
Send a supported token such as USDT into the GasFree wallet.
→ You do not need TRX for gas.
→ Fees will be deducted from the token you are transferring.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 3️⃣: 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗲𝗿
Tap “Send,” enter the recipient address, select the token, and input the amount.
This first transaction is what activates the wallet.
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 4️⃣: 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲
If your wallet is not yet activated, TronLink clearly displays a message showing:
→ The activation fee
→ The permit transfer fee
→ The total cost in the same token you are sending
Everything is shown upfront before confirmation.

Once you confirm, the transaction is submitted on-chain and your GasFree wallet activates automatically.
Activation and transfer happen together. One action. No extra steps.
👉 What is a permit transfer?
A permit transfer means you authorize the GasFree service provider to submit the transaction on-chain on your behalf.
→ You are not giving up control.
→ Your private key is not exposed.
→ Custody remains yours.
After activation, the experience becomes seamless.
You can send TRX or supported tokens.
Fees are deducted directly from the transferring asset.
No separate TRX balance is required.
