♦ According to the political correspondent of Tasnim News Agency, a member of the Interim Leadership Council, Ayatollah Arafi, said in a speech:
♦ “Dear youth, dear young people, and respected elites from all segments and groups of the nation should know that we will overcome this threat. Once again, the United States and the Zionist regime have based their oppressive and coercive actions on a miscalculation, and God willing, this calculation too will prove to be wrong.”
♦ He added that the visible presence of the great nation, enthusiastic youth, and revolutionary women and men is, by God’s grace, a sign of victory and major progress.
♦ Ayatollah Arafi stated that the Iranian nation will undoubtedly taste the sweet reward of victory. He emphasized that Iran’s current stance of resilience against the American-Zionist adversary is proceeding according to the framework laid out by Imam Khamenei, noting that the country is now in a decisive phase that can be successfully navigated with public support.
♦ He further explained that the Interim Leadership Council was formed in accordance with Constitution Article 111, until a leader is appointed by the Assembly of Experts, which he expressed hope would happen soon.
♦ Ayatollah Arafi also said that the heads of the three branches of government are members of this council, and that it will hold regular meetings and carefully fulfill its assigned responsibilities.
