Tensions between Iran and Pakistan have resurfaced after a statement from a senior Iranian military figure added a new layer to an already sensitive regional situation.

Sardar Hossein Nejat, a senior commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), claimed that Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan Army, personally apologized during a phone call. According to Nejat, the apology was related to two issues: the alleged use of Pakistan’s airspace in actions against Iran and incidents of violence against Shia protesters.

Nejat shared the statement through his account on X, where he also emphasized that Iran continues to seek stable and cooperative relations with Pakistan. At the same time, he made it clear that Iran would not ignore the losses it believes it has suffered. His remarks suggested that Tehran expects a response from Pakistan in the near future.

So far, Pakistan’s military leadership has not issued any official comment addressing the claim.

Situations like this often create uncertainty not only in diplomatic circles but also across regional sentiment. When statements emerge from senior officials without immediate confirmation from the other side, speculation tends to fill the gap. In geopolitics, perception can sometimes move faster than facts — and the narrative that forms in those early moments often shapes how events are interpreted afterward.

For now, the key question is simple: whether this remains a statement in the information space, or the beginning of a deeper diplomatic exchange between the two neighbors.$LAB $RIVER $AIXBT #breakingnews
