This is the conversation the robotics industry does not want to have. We celebrate the breakthroughs in dexterity and perception, but we ignore the boring, brutal reality of liability. A robot that can flip a burger but cannot be insured is not a product. It is a liability waiting to happen. And liability, unlike code, cannot be patched overnight.
