I’ve been doing some serious digging into the Chapter 2 mechanics that just dropped and honestly most people are totally missing the point of the new "Tiered Industries" update.
While everyone is still talking about simple farming I’ve been researching how the new skill consolidation and resource tiers actually work.
It is not just about clicking on crops anymore.
The team has basically rebuilt the whole progression system so that your skill levels and the tools you use actually matter for what you can produce.
I am working on some math for my own farm and it is clear that they’ve moved toward an MMORPG style where you have to work your way up from basic materials to high tier industrial goods.
I am very impressed with how they handled the "Speck" enhancements because it gives every single player a way to upgrade their own private space without needing to own a massive farm right away.
It creates a real sense of progression that makes you want to keep playing every day to unlock the next tier of crafting.
The best part is how this links into the $PIXEL economy because high tier resources are going to be much harder to get.
This means the players who actually take the time to level up their industries are going to have a massive advantage in the marketplace.
I’ve seen a lot of games try to do "play to earn" but this is the first time it feels like a real "play to progress" system that actually rewards effort and strategy.
I am definitely going to be focusing my next few research sessions on the specific crafting recipes for the higher tiers because that is where the real value is hidden.
If you are looking for a project that has actually figured out how to make an economy sustainable then you really need to look at how these industry tiers are balancing the game.
Are you focusing on maxing out your basic farming skills first or are you trying to rush into the new industrial crafting tiers?
