PIXELS feels more interesting than most Web3 games because it at least looks like it understands one basic thing: if the game itself isn’t enjoyable, the token means nothing.

That’s why I’m cautious, not excited.

Crypto has already shown us what happens when projects build hype and “economies” before building something people actually want to use. Pixels feels a bit different because the idea is simpler and more human — farming, exploring, creating, and social interaction. That part makes sense.

Still, the real question is the token. Does PIXEL actually add value to the experience, or does it just bring the usual speculation that ruins the vibe? That’s where the doubt comes in.
