Today reminded me that the market tests patience more often than skill. When a coin starts trending, everything inside you wants to act — to be involved, to not miss out, to feel part of the movement. I used to mistake that feeling for opportunity. Over time, I’ve learned that excitement is rarely a good reason to trade. Watching price move without a clear plan feels uncomfortable, almost like you’re falling behind, but that discomfort is usually a signal to slow down. The biggest shift in my trading didn’t come from better indicators or new strategies, it came from learning when to step back. Not trading today didn’t feel like progress in the moment, but experience tells me that restraint is often what keeps you in the game long enough to succeed.
