Dusk Network is a Layer-1 blockchain that was launched in 2018 with one focus: to enable privacy-preserving regulated financial infrastructure. Instead of making a one-size-fits-all solution, Dusk was meant to fulfill the actual needs of institutions, issuers, and compliant DeFi applications that are functioning in the open financial world.
This project is now globally adopted and getting famous every coming day.
Dusk has been an advanced protocol privacy developper, over seven years. It is a pragmatic, but not an ideological approach. In Dusk, institutions and users have control over the behaviour of transactions. Transfers may be entirely transparent when it is required. Where there is a need to be discrete, transactions do not necessarily lose their confidentiality, but still can be checked when it is required by regulation. The balance allows meeting the compliance without presenting sensitive financial information.
The architecture of Dusk allows making it applicable to tokenized real-world assets, regulated DeFi, and on-chain financial products, which have to comply with the legal standards. Dusk is concerned with the long-term use of privacy, auditability, and reliability as these three concepts must coexist rather than being built on hype cycles.
Coupling blockchain with the actual financial processes, Dusk Network is in the background building the future when institutions would have the ability to run on-chain with certainty, visibility, and control about doing so.
