In the United States, many Chinese people are very cold-blooded, lacking human warmth; everything is about money, and there are very few Chinese who are genuinely willing to help others. If you ask them a question, they often want to charge a fee. Living like this feels quite meaningless. Survival comes with pressure, but there should be warmth between people. In contrast, the white people I met in the United States are very friendly. If you can't find something in the supermarket and ask someone, they will push their cart and lead you a few aisles to help you find what you need, even telling you which type is better. The quality of interactions between people really differs! Social etiquette works in China, but it doesn't in the United States; most people aren't interested. However, I still believe we should be warm-hearted individuals. You influence others, and then they will influence you in return.
