A crypto investor in Manhattan is accused of kidnapping and torturing an Italian man for weeks in a luxurious townhouse worth $30,000/month, just to extract the Bitcoin wallet password.
The victim had his passport, electronic devices seized and was continuously tortured for refusing to disclose wallet information.
The suspect has been arrested and brought to court on Saturday.
