Binance founder Changpeng Zhao offered OKX founder Star Xu a $1 billion bet after Xu called him a habitual liar when Zhao published Freedom of Money on April 8. Xu said Zhao lied about his marital status and rejected other book claims about Zhao's OKCoin history, a Roger Ver contract dispute, alleged market manipulation, and Huobi founder Leon Li's detention. Xu declined the offer and said public betting was not legal in the United Arab Emirates and was not professional for the beneficial owner of a regulated company.
