After an intense 21-hour marathon negotiation, the United States and Iran have failed to reach any agreement, marking a major setback in ongoing diplomatic efforts.
U.S. Vice President JD Vance told the media:
“After 21 hours of critical negotiations with the Iranian delegation, we presented a final and best offer. The core demand was clear: Iran must commit that it will never acquire nuclear weapons or the capability to rapidly develop them.
We negotiated in good faith and showed flexibility where possible, but key differences remain. Iran has not accepted our terms at this stage. Our offer is still on the table, and the next move is up to Iran. If Iran is ready for long-term commitments, we are open to further talks.”
⚠️ What’s the Core Issue?
The biggest sticking point remains Iran’s nuclear program:
The U.S. is demanding permanent, enforceable guarantees that Iran will never develop nuclear weapons.
Iran, however, has refused to agree to these strict long-term conditions so far.
📉 Current Situation
Talks have ended without any breakthrough
Tensions remain high
However, diplomatic doors are still open
👉 The deal isn’t dead — but the pressure is now on Iran to decide the next move.
