Coinbase is working with Bybit to explore tokenizing, custodying and distributing U.S. public and pre-IPO stocks, according to a person familiar with the plans. The person said the ongoing talks do not involve a stake acquisition and are not a route for Bybit to enter the U.S. market. The person also said Bybit's separate U.S.-focused venture will use another local partner for licensing and compliance.
