The Walrus Foundation does support ecosystem development through grants, and in many cases these grants are structured to be paid partially or fully in WAL. This approach aligns incentives without turning grants into speculative rewards. Developers receive tokens that are directly useful within the protocol they are building on, rather than generic funding detached from usage.
Grant distribution is usually milestone-based. WAL is released as progress is demonstrated, not upfront. This structure encourages sustained engagement with the protocol while reducing the risk of abandoned projects. The intent is to fund work that strengthens Walrus as infrastructure, not to create short-term token demand.@WalrusProtocol #walrus $WAL
