$BTC Dominance Around 58% — Why Altcoins Are Still Struggling
Most traders focus only on coin prices and ignore one of the most important market indicators: BTC Dominance. 👀
🔑 What is BTC Dominance?
BTC Dominance = Bitcoin Market Cap ÷ Total Crypto Market Cap × 100
At around 58%, Bitcoin still controls more than half of the crypto market's value.
💡 Why does it matter?
When BTC Dominance is HIGH:
• Capital tends to stay in Bitcoin
• Many altcoins underperform BTC
• Alts may remain weak even when BTC is stable
When
$BTC Dominance FALLS:
• More capital can rotate into altcoins
• Altcoins often outperform Bitcoin
• This is when strong altcoin rallies become more likely
📈 What are we seeing now?
BTC Dominance has eased from its 2025 highs, but it remains relatively strong. This suggests Bitcoin is still leading the market, while altcoins are trying to gain momentum.
⚠️ Important:
A falling BTC Dominance does NOT automatically mean altseason has started. Factors like Ethereum strength, market liquidity, and overall risk appetite also matter.
💭 Market View:
The current market looks more like a transition phase than a confirmed altseason. Keep an eye on
$BTC Dominance, but don't use it as the only indicator for investment decisions.
