Google's main conference has ended. If we sum it all up in one sentence: AI should no longer just respond, but take action. All the announcements revolve around this idea.
Models
Gemini 3.5 Flash. Four times faster than the previous top model and smarter in benchmarks. Already working in apps, search, and via API. The Pro version will be released in a month.
Gemini Omni. Makes videos from text, photos, or voice. Can be edited directly in the chat using words.
Agents
Gemini Spark. The main highlight. A personal AI that reads emails, responds in Gmail, and edits documents. Launching in the US in a week.
Daily Brief. A morning summary of the day: what's in the mail, what's on the calendar, and what needs to be done.
Universal cart. Automatically searches for discounts, tracks prices, and checks compatibility of parts. For example, when assembling a PC, it will suggest that the power supply isn't suitable.
Search
AI Mode now works on the new Gemini. The search bar has become smarter: it understands long conversational queries, not just keywords. You can even create mini-apps for your task directly in the search.
Voice
Gmail, Docs, and Keep now work with voice. You can search for emails and edit documents using voice. Google Pics was separately released: a new AI-based image and design editor.
Smart glasses
Google's first smart glasses are coming out in the fall. Made by Samsung and Qualcomm, with frames from Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. Compatible with both Android and iPhone.
Android Halo
A strip at the top of the screen shows what your AI is currently doing. No need to switch between apps.
Prices
Google now has three AI tariffs:
$20 / month. AI Pro. Now bundled with YouTube Premium Lite.
$100 / month. New medium Ultra. Access to Spark, 20TB of storage, full YouTube Premium.
$200 / month. Top Ultra. Previously $250. Limits are 4 times higher than the lower tier.
Limits are now calculated not by the number of requests per day, but by the consumed power. Updated every 5 hours.
Figure of the day
Google processes 3.2 quadrillion tokens per month. A year ago, it was 480 trillion. An almost 7-fold increase over a year.
Essentially, Google is building an ecosystem around a single idea: from chat to agent. Its own model, its own hardware, its own tools for developers. All under one umbrella.
