On October 31, 2008, the world changed forever, though no one noticed at the time. A person (or group of people) under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin White Paper. Sixteen years later, we have a multi-trillion dollar industry, but still don't know the answer to the main question: Who is Satoshi?

📜 The Beginning of the Legend

In 2009, Satoshi launched the network, mining the first "Genesis Block". The code contained an embedded message about bank bailouts, which defined the philosophy of BTC as an alternative to the fiat system. Nakamoto was active on forums and refined the code, but in 2010 suddenly disappeared, leaving a farewell message: "I've moved on to other things".

💰 A Vast Fortune

According to on-chain analysts, Satoshi's wallets hold around 1.1 million BTC. At current prices, this makes them one of the wealthiest people on the planet. The most astonishing part? These coins haven't moved in over 15 years. This is an unprecedented example of "diamond hands" (HODL) in history, solidifying Bitcoin's status as digital gold.

🔍 The Main Candidates

Over the years of searching, the community has proposed dozens of theories:

Hal Finney — the first person to receive a Bitcoin transaction. A brilliant cryptographer who lived a few miles from a man named Dorian Nakamoto.Nick Szabo — creator of the Bit Gold concept. His writing style and ideas are strikingly similar to the White Paper's text.Adam Back — creator of Hashcash, which Satoshi referenced.Craig Wright — an Australian scientist who has tried for years to prove he is Satoshi through the courts, but failed to provide cryptographic evidence.

💎 Why Anonymity is a Gift?

If Bitcoin had a living "face" or a CEO, the network would be vulnerable to regulators and political pressure. Satoshi's absence makes Bitcoin truly decentralized. It's a "protocol without a master," belonging to all of humanity.

Satoshi Nakamoto gave us technology that doesn't require trust in intermediaries. Perhaps his greatest invention wasn't the blockchain itself, but the decision to remain anonymous, allowing his creation to grow independently.

What do you think: Is Satoshi one person or a group of scientists? And will we ever see the movement of coins from their wallets? 👇
