Most People Think Iraq, Iran & Venezuela Are About Oil.
Theyāre Wrong.
By Robert Kiyosaki ā 04.01.2025
Most people believe Iraq, Iran, and Venezuela are about oil.
Thatās the surface story.
The real story is China.
And once you see it, you canāt unsee it.
Hereās the question almost no one asks:
What does Iraq in the early 2000s have in common with China today?
Itās not oil.
Itās control of the system around the oil.
Back then, Iraq wasnāt just exporting crude.
It was challenging how oil was priced and how payments were settled.
Iraq began moving away from the U.S. dollar system.
That was the moment Iraq stopped being labeled a āproblem nationā
and became something far more dangerous:
A systemic threat.
Fast forward to toda
China doesnāt need to invade countries to control energy.
China controls oil without firing a shot ā by controlling the exit routes.
Chinaās leverage comes from:
Long-term supply agreements
Oil-for-debt structures
Shadow shipping networks
Non-dollar settlement systems
Iran and Venezuela are the clearest examples.
⢠Iran exports roughly 1.4ā1.6 million barrels per day, with the majority quietly flowing to China at discounted prices through off-the-books channels.
⢠Venezuela ships around 700,000ā900,000 barrels per day, with China acting as both primary buyer and financier via debt-backed oil deals.
Thatās not energy policy.
Thatās geopolitical leverage.
China wasnāt just buying oil.
China was controlling the only escape route left after U.S. sanctions hit.
So whatās really happening now?
The United States isnāt āstarting wars.ā
Itās breaking control chains.
Step by step.
Sanctions didnāt target countries ā they targeted systems:
Shipping firms
Insurance providers
Ports
Refiners
Payment rails
Thatās not military warfare.
Thatās financial warfare.
Then came seizures, blockades, and pressure at sea ā the one place oil canāt hide.
And finally, political shock.
Because once you control:
Who ships the oil
Who insures it
Who settles the payments
You donāt need to own the oil fields.
You own the system that decides who gets paid.
That was the lesson of Iraq.
And itās the lesson playing out again today.
This has never been about oil in the ground.
Itās about:
Currency dominance
Trade settlement power
Control over global cash flow
Oil is just the bloodstream.
The real battle is over who controls the heart.
Thatās why Iran matters.
Thatās why Venezuela matters.
And thatās why China is at the center of this ā whether the headlines admit it or not.
The rich donāt argue politics.
They study systems.
