Dusk Network is not attempting to capture your attention using hype or temporary stories. It is devoted to something much harder constructing institutional-friendly DeFi infrastructure that institutions can turn to in reality.
Conservative players in the financial industry will not go on-chain when all transactions are transparent or when compliance is considered a secondary consideration. This is addressed by Dusk, which inserts regulations into the protocol, allowing privacy to be programmed using zero-knowledge proofs, and it has a developer stack with the Piecrust VM.
The idea is not to supplant the old system of finance, but to modernize it- to put the real-world assets, such as stocks and bonds, safely on-chain, without compromising their privacy or legality.
